EDUCATIONIST: Midge Hilton-Green

As Headmaster, Hilton-Green pioneered teaching Life Skills and Entrepreneurship to the Kingswood preparatory school children in the '80's. He recently retired as Bishops Preparatory school headmaster in Cape Town, and has continued developing new material that will continue assisting pupils develop these same essential skills.

He is an acknowledged international expert in this area and has received extensive newspaper coverage. He has appeared on television, been interviewed on radio and is quoted in a number of books and magazines. He has assisted many schools with their own courses; is a founder member of the 'Entrepreneurship Education Initiative' and was presented with a plaque at the 19th Annual Entrepreneurship Education conference in Salt Lake City in 2001, to acknowledge his contributions in this pioneering field.



PROJECT MANAGER: Gregory Bunyard

Bunyard studied for his BCom at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa where he majored in Business Administration and Industrial Psychology and thereafter obtained an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School in Scotland. He has worked in Johannesburg, London and in the USA and has travelled the world. He is very much an entrepreneur himself - currently consulting in the investment and service sectors, as well as developing The Ka-Ching! Business Parenting Course.



COUNSELLOR: Jason Bantjes

Jason is currently the School Counsellor at Bishops; the Chief Examiner for Economics with the Independent Examinations Board; and a part-time lecturer in Cognitive Psychology in the Department of Psychology at UNISA's Western Cape Learning Centre. In the past he has been a Housemaster at Michaelhouse and a lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the University of Natal. He has published six textbooks and his current area of psychological research is masculinity and boys' emotional development. He has attended numerous national and international conferences and presented seminars and workshops on a range of topics pertaining to boys and masculinity, education, parenting and the mental health of adolescents.



COPYWRITER: Mike Hawkins

Writer and communicator, 35 years experience as communications and corporate image specialist, both corporate and consultancy. Corporate experience - Group public relations and advertising executive, Dorbyl Limited; Assistant director, communications, SA Consumer Council; Training manager then public relations manager, Afrox. Varied academic communications experience with UNISA, Monash University and Wits (establishment and promotion of the Zenex Literacy Foundation. Extensive involvement with corporate identity courses, annual reports, advertising, public relations and general communications with Barloworld, Caterpillar, Dorbyl, PPC, Zenex, Eskom. Mike has devoted much of his time in the past to the provision of housing for the underprivileged (he was the founding trustee and director of the Methodist Housing Trust and the Methodist Housing Foundation as well as the education of the mentally handicapped children and adults.

Midge Hilton-Green regularly recalls a speech Mike Sander (then CEO of African Explosives and Chemical Industries [AECI]) gave at a school prize giving ceremony. Sander said that there were ten things that businesses looked for when interviewing prospective employees.
